5 Questions with Retired Elementary School Teacher

Image
*Click here for full interview* I got the opportunity to interview current Columbia College professor and retired elementary school teacher Stephanie Danley.  In this interview I asked the following 5 questions: 1. What motivated you into wanting to become a teacher? 2. How long have you been teaching?  3. What are some of your favorite things about being a teacher? 4. What are some of the most difficult things about being a teacher? 5. What advice would you give to someone who wants to get into teaching?  Mrs. Danley has been an educator for a very long time and has been my mom my whole life. She really enjoys teaching young and older minds and has been a very good motivator for me to understand the importance of education and get my work done on time and efficiently.

Avery Daniels Axe Throwing Conclusion

Listen to my report with Avery Daniels. My class was able to meet this South Carolina State Archivist and conduct an interview with him about all things Axe throwing.         This was a very interesting experience for our class to have to opportunity to learn about this cool sport and get to see an Alumni from our University compete.

SC State Archivist Avery Daniel's was willing to participate in an interview to discuss how he was introduced into axe throwing . After the interview with Avery Daniels was done, our class was able to find out that Daniels has only been throwing for few years since he first started in 2022.   Click here to listen                                                     While watching Daniels throw, our class noticed he throws the axe with his right hand and the knife with his left hand. This was interesting to us, and he actually explained why he does this during his interview. This is what Daniels had to say.  Click here to listen Lastly, I believed that Avery Daniel's biggest challenge would be having to throw with both hands. However, this is not the case. Avery explains in his interview, that his biggest challenge is actually his nerves.  Click here to hear him explain.

A Big Day Remembered

My youngest brother Landon is 18 years old, and just graduated high school in 2022.        He played football, and ended up getting the opportunity to receive a scholarship to play for a power-five program in Virginia U niversity.  Click  here to listen to the audio.               This was a big day for him and our family. Only a very small amount of high school athletes gets  a chance to play for power-five program, and he was the first to do so in our family!       A lot of media from local news stations were at the day of the signing, and captured coverage of this big event. Afterwards, as you can see,  he was interviewed about his thoughts signing this scholarship.       I have two younger brothers;  we all play football in college now. My youngest Landon  is the first to get the chance to play at the highest collegiate  level!         He plays strong safety for the Virginia Cavaliers, and he's majoring in business .  Our father  played college footb
